Roommates

SO I am nearing the end of my stay here in Monticello Apartments, and to say I was sad would be an understatement. I want to say thank you to my roommates for making it a wonderful first roommates experience. You have taught me so much, and made the transition of living away from home, a perfect one.  We all get along so well. I thought I would share a little bit about the people I have been living with.

Coco

This lovely girl is the person I have shared my room with. We were great friends before but have become even more close. She is always there for me even when I bug the heck out of her. She teases me all the time, in the most lovingly way possible. She pushes me to be a better person. I love our late night deep conversations, or when we go to Del Taco at 1 in the morning.  She makes me laugh, and she laughs at me. Best exercise partner ever. She always has great advice and is a very smart person. She is so creative and rocks her colorful and awesome outfits. She makes me feel important and special. She is just the greatest. We bought the same deodorant without even knowing. We were meant to be roommates all along, and best friends!

Stephanie
This picture makes me laugh, just like she makes me laugh. She is one of the smartest people I have ever met. She is not only a genius economic major, but she is also spiritually intelligent, and just smart in every aspect of her life. She always has interesting and hilarious stories to tell us. She knows everyone. I will go on a date with some random guy and then she will somehow know him. She is just very down to earth and easy to get along with and laugh with. She is very real and honest. She always makes me think, and ponder about life. She is going to have an incredible life.

Britny

The one and the only talented Britny. To be honest I don't see her all that often, because she is so insanely busy being a incredible piano major, but when I do see her it is always nice. She is so musically talented. She plays just about every instrument. She has a huge video selection, which we all love to watch when she has a break from her busy life. She is so nice and fun to be around.  She has taught me that even when life gets busy, it is important to spend a little time relaxing, and especially to celebrate your accomplishments. She has accomplished a lot. She is such a hard worker, and I look up to her in that way. She put her mind to this dream of becoming a pianist and ended up going above and beyond.

Alice
Alice, Alice, Alice. So much to say about Alice. She has graduated and didn't have a job so we are kind of in the same boat, besides the fact that she has graduated and gone on a mission and is way more wise than me. Anyways I have had some incredible conversations with her. I find myself talking a lot, I can't believe she puts up with me, she is an excellent listener. She laughs at my ridiculous boy craziness. I feel like I have know her forever. She is seriously one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She is all around a wonderful person. I love watching chick flicks with her. I just love being around her, and telling her all my dreams and thoughts about life. She and her boyfriend are adorable. I love that she takes me seriously even though she is a better person than I will ever be. I hope to continue to be her friend forever.

I love you girl so much. You make me happy. There is a lot of laughter, fun, and great conversation going on in our apartment all the time. Monticello for life, literally!

Kate Spade + Tory Burch

Tory Burch:
I didn't really know who the designer, Tory Burch, was until I went to China. I fell in love. I love her style and her clothes and especially her shoes. Look at her kids cardigans.

Kate Spade:

So I am still in search of the perfect dress. I saw this one on the Kate Spade website. It is so perfect, too bad it's too expensive for me. If you find the perfect dress for me please comment on this post. Thanks!

Fashion Show

I am now publicly embarking on a project. Ever since I was little I have dreamed of putting on a fashion show. Well as of lately, I am not afraid to chase after my dreams. I was talking to a dear friend and she mention she was willing to help out with my hair if I did another post like this. We got talking and came up with the idea for a benefit fashion show. Right now it is still a small idea, but I need your help. It is going to be a complete volunteer base show. So here are a few things you can do for me.

1. Volunteer to be on the fashion team-- let me know if you have any talents in the hair and makeup field, or just want to get involved.

2. If you have a company or work for a company that would be willing to let us use your clothes/accessories in the show.

It is going to look something along these lines.

Positive

When the tragic earthquake and Tsunami hit Japan, my heart sunk. Every time a huge natural disaster hits, I can not wrap my mind over how many people lose their lives so fast. The people who are left with loved ones missed or dead. To get hit with two disasters, Earthquake and Tsunami plus fires and nuclear scares. I wonder why, why does this have to happen?
Lately I have been trying to look at the positive about everything. So I looked for the positive in this tragedy. Is there any other world event that brings THE WHOLE WORLD together in one cause? Not only that, but it brings together whatever city or country is affected. In this case it is Japan. I think it is also a test or trial for the people. Will they be able to re-build those cities and become a stronger country because of it, or will they fall and not be able to come back? I think this relates to the trails and test each one of us has to go through. Are we going to learn from our trials or fall and never return to happiness. They key is, we can not do this alone. We can not overcome trails if we don't include the almighty God. So at this time I hope that we will all pray to God, that he will bring the people of Japan strength and comfort and courage to go on, even though such a horrific event has happened. Let all of us with food and water and shelter be grateful for what we have. And for the many people, not only in Japan, who are going through a trial, please know that although your trial may seem impossible, it was given to you for a purpose and that you are not alone. Not only is God there for you, but you are loved by many. If you ever need a friend or someone to talk to, I am here for you. In a completely not cheesy way.
